On September 13, 2026, Razordon was proud to support the inaugural Great State of Maine RC Expo & Swap Meet at Winslow VFW Post 8835 in Winslow, Maine.
Organized by the local VFW community, the event brought together RC enthusiasts from across Maine for a day of radio-controlled cars, trucks, aircraft, helicopters, swapping, raffles, and conversations about the RC hobby.
Even with steady rain throughout the day, the event attracted a strong turnout, with the parking lot at times nearly full.
Razordon was honored to participate as one of the event's early sponsors, helping support the local RC community with four ready-to-fly RC helicopters, Razordon caps, and custom event banners.
A Strong Turnout Despite the Rain
The weather was far from ideal.
Steady rain throughout the day meant that outdoor RC helicopter and aircraft demonstrations unfortunately had to be canceled. The event organizer had planned to bring a collection of his own helicopters for outdoor flying, but the conditions made flying impossible.
The rain, however, didn't stop the RC community from showing up.
According to the organizers, the parking lot was almost full at times, with space for more than 100 vehicles. The turnout demonstrated just how active and enthusiastic the RC community in Maine is.
And the crowd wasn't limited to aircraft enthusiasts.
A particularly large group of RC car and truck hobbyists attended the event, creating a diverse mix of RC enthusiasts and highlighting how broad the hobby has become.
Razordon RC Helicopters Draw Attention at the Raffle
One of the biggest attractions at the event was the raffle featuring four Razordon RC helicopters.
The event organizers told us that there was a steady line of people purchasing raffle tickets throughout the day for the chance to win one of the helicopters.
The Razordon banner was also displayed prominently at the event, with a QR code allowing visitors to easily discover the Razordon website and browse our RC products.
During announcements over the event's PA system, the organizers introduced Razordon to attendees and highlighted the brand's contribution to the event.
We're thrilled to hear that the helicopters generated so much excitement among the crowd.
For us, sponsoring an RC community event isn't simply about putting our name on a banner. It's about helping enthusiasts experience the hobby, discover new products, and connect with other people who share the same passion.
Supporting the RC Community Beyond Helicopters
Although RC helicopters remain an important part of Razordon, our product range continues to expand.
The Great State of Maine RC Expo & Swap Meet also showed us the strong interest in other areas of the hobby, particularly RC cars and trucks.

The response at this event was a great reminder that the RC community is made up of many different types of enthusiasts.

A Successful First Event in Maine
The inaugural Great State of Maine RC Expo & Swap Meet exceeded expectations for the organizers.
Despite the all-day rain, the event drew a strong crowd, and many attendees were already asking for the event to return as a two-day weekend RC event next year.
That's a great sign for the future of RC events in Maine.
Local events like this provide something that online shopping can't replace: the opportunity to meet other hobbyists in person, see RC models up close, exchange ideas, discover new products, and simply spend time with people who enjoy the same hobby.
